After having found the Stranger, Deckard began his polite interrogation. The Stranger responded that the last things he remembered was him falling and fire. This made me wonder where the fire came from, unless he fell at such a huge speed he himself would’ve been on fire. He remembered a sword as well. A sword of great power, this sword was part of him, but during the fall it shattered into three pieces. Deckard made the inference that we should find these pieces and make the sword whole again. That this sword might be the artifact we need to restore the memory of this Stranger. Leah interjected, telling us that the resident goatmen have been rampaging through the fields. She wondered if the sword has anything to do with that. Deckard seemed to have put the puzzle pieces together as he immediately tells Leah that she might be right. After seeing my puzzled look he explained to me that the dead rose around the Stranger, if the sword is truly a part of him it might explain the goatmen suddenly driving them to madness. For me it made sense and gave me an excuse to try out my new equipment. I told them I would hunt these goatmen. Locating the sword seemed to be just a bonus to ending their terror. Continue Reading

After having a lot of content added when MoP landed, Blizzard wants to stay true to it’s own word, of bringing content in a faster pace, and Daxxari and Zarhym are pleased to inform us that patch 5.1 is well under way. Blizzard is in fact planning to release the new patch soon on the public test realms, initially however it will not yet include all of the 5.1 patch update. But it didn’t end there, we also got a glimpse of what is to come in 5.1.
First off, we will see more Alliance and Horde come to the shores of Pandaria, which is going to increase the tension between the two groups; this will also open up more dailies and new faction reputations – one important note though, if you want to see this you will have to have completed Pandaria already.
We will also get to see the Brawler’s Guild where players will have the opportunity to earn bragging rights by testing their solo PvE skills against some of the toughest creatures found in World of Warcraft.
There also be an improvement in Pet Battles, which includes a way to increase the rarity of the pet that the player has captured.
In the final bullet point, Blizzard plans to introduce Item Upgrades where the player can spend Valor Points to the item level and quality of gear the player owns and last but certainly not the least, the quests in Pandaria will continue on the south shores.
The complete post can be found after the cut. Continue Reading

Under construction.
Hi-Rez Studios has quietly announced that the company has begun development on a sequel to Global Agenda. Currently title Global Agenda 2, the revelation came in a candid and honest post from the CEO and Janitorial Services of Hi-Rez Studios, Erez Goren.
In this announcement Goren discusses the problems that Global Agenda had/has and what the company has learned from its development. Knowledge that was successfully applied to Tribes: Ascend, although with its high skill ceiling it has become a niche game.
After sending out surveys and receiving overwhelming responses from players on what they want to see improved and how they would want to see it released, Hi-Rez decided to make Global Agenda 2 more PvP orientated. They are going to use a lot of the assets from Global Agenda while adding new maps, game modes and class weapons.
Hi-Rez expects Global Agenda 2, or whatever it may be called, to head to beta somewhere in the middle of 2013.
Full announcement after the cut. Continue Reading

Stephen Reid, the Community Director for Gazillion Entertainment, has posted the first part of the ‘Developer Blog’ on Marvel Heroes’ site. And what a first post! The introduction opens up the registrations for the closed beta of this upcoming MMO Action RPG. Stephen calls upon you, the Marvel fans, to sign up and help them out with constructive criticism and testing of the game.
Unlike many of today’s ‘closed betas,’ he made sure that everyone knew that this meant testing and not playing a demo or playing the game early. A fact many players (and companies) seem to forget. They have three steps to go by, step one is to register an account on their site. The second step has them sending out surveys which you have to answer to become eligible for closed beta testing. The last stage has them selecting the people that are going to be in the closed beta.
Good luck to those that apply!
The three steps are in detail after the cut. Continue Reading

I continued my search for the Skeleton King inside the Royal Crypts. After having fought a trope of skeletons I found a glowing sword. I was intrigued, I had never seen a sword glow like this. Before I knew it I had the finely crafted weapon in my hands. The moment I touched the sword I felt a magic power come forth. Before my eyes six spirits were created. Five of the men looked like royal guards, the other, a king. At that moment I realized what this was, a history lesson. This sword was showing me the last moments of King Leoric. One of the five royal guards walked forward and told the rest to keep distance that this was his burden to bear. When this spirit started talking I realized who it was, Lachdanan. Lachdanan said that he hoped that death would bring peace to the madness of Leoric. As he finished his sentence he plunged his sword through his liege. Continue Reading

After helping Headrig put his wife to rest and receiving the reforged crown in return, I went to Deckard to tell him the news. Deckard Cain was pleased, telling me that with this crown I can unlock the sealed door in the room where I rescued Deckard. According to the scholar, behind this door would lay the Royal Crypts containing the Skeleton King. Cain informed me that when I found him I needed to place the crown on top of the is head, bringing him to life…only to destroy him. It was the only way to acquire the Fallen Star. As I turned toward my new assignment Cain detailed that the way inside the Cathedral was filled with more monstrosities. Nothing I wasn’t used to yet or my two-hander couldn’t handle. Continue Reading
