It seems that the info in the list hasn't been updated together with the text in 'RuneScape Overview'. There has indeed been a gap in the PvP-play, when RS closed off the Wilderness to rethink PVP mechanics as to lower the increasing amount of RWTs (Real World Traders) and such other transfers there-be 'in-violation-with-the-code-of-conduct-and-game-philosophy'. By now though, they have implemented the new & improved. There *is* PvP in RuneScape, also for non-members. There are - dedicated PvP worlds/servers for level 20+ players, for the original PvP-feel - dedicated bountyworlds/servers (Wilderness), where - from a certain amount of time on - a matching PC opponent will be searched for, then both will be designated as targets to eachother, for the more hunter-huntee feel (Wilderness is not a tiny place). As well as for the more lucrative loot you can obtain, adjusted to how well you do during your stay up there. Other players can be Pk'd in the meantime btw. It's quite an interesting balancing system actually, which can influence the amount/value/rarity of the loot. The PK versions have their reward-/loot system tailored to the attributes that are specific to that type of PvP. Furthermore there are - full-blown clan wars you can organize - tournaments you can enter, last man-standing arena thing - challenge another PC to a duel one-on-one, with a wager in cash/items included or no stake at all put up; these are specs you can customize yourself for each duel. And a bunch more: from 'yes' or 'no' use of melee, range, magic, potions, food items, to only the use of fun weapons (special event items you can whack someone over the head with, f.e. a rubber chicken), and everything in between. Mind, some areas mentioned are not accessible to free players. But the major one - the regular free-for-all PvP - that will matter to most Pk'ers is included in f2p. To be complete, there's also mass combat like Castle Wars, which is basically Capture The Flag - Barbarian Assault, against NPCs, where you work together with 4 PCs (all having a different task during), here communication weighs in more heavily Actually, it is not complete, but I would have to look up the other team combat specifics, and it's more the PvP that I wanted to point out of course. Think I've got most of that. So hopefully it can be reflected in the list. I don't PK myself, but methought it be a shame if people *only* interested in PvP would glance over the list and not trying out RS for seemingly having no PKing. Imho, Jagex did a pretty good job with the complete overhaul in that area. Not affiliated with them. TIA, good site and cheers! :-)
