With the F&FA version of the Cataclysm expansion for WoW leaked, data-miners have found pretty much everything in the game and are posting it like crazy. Boubille of MMO-Champion is leading the way. Here are some early highlights.
- Early versions of the new talent-trees are available. Many of the planned changes are not in the game yet, including mastery.
- Many new tradeskill items, including many enchants. Notably, these require item levels of 300, higher than anything available in Wrath of the Lich King.
- Maps of new and old areas.
- Models of bosses and other units, such of Neptulon and a fiery Marrowgar.

At the risk of sounding hypocritical…it’s things like this that can have one of two effects: a) it gets people psyched and what not, but lately things like this have had a more adverse effect on me (and others I know too) which is b) it actually KILLS enthusiasm.
I for one am going to do everything in my power to avoid stuff like this in the future for the sake of my enthusiasm of the game and upcoming expansion pack.

May 6th, 2010 at 10:24 amI wholeheartedly agree, while I’d love to know more, there’s nothing like experiencing it for the first time YOURSELF, with no preconceived notions, or ‘oo, I saw that in a screenshot’ moments. I want to explore NEW (to me) lands.
I too will be doing my best to avoid the information over the next few weeks, apart from the class changes, which I feel are neccessary to know, in order to carry my Hunter and playstyle forward with minimal downtime.

The game to me ended when we killed the Lich King. Every else now is bonus material that I don’t really care much about, so these ‘spoilers’ do nothing for me. They have no story line hints, and the pictures for the most part are just pictures of zones. I want to see important stuff like Garrosh standing in Thralls place in the hall and his orc guards guarding him. I want to see Cairne replaced by his son. All this crap that has been hyped up over the last year and we haven’t seen any evidence of it yet. The only reason I think I will even play Cata is in the hopes that we, the Horde, will rise up and overthrow that scum of an orc Garrosh a la Undercity event style.

I see Blizz informed MMO-Champion to remove everything from the website about the Cat. alpha client, and they are in the process of doing so. I don’t like to see and know everthing about a game months before I buy it, although I did peek at a few things. Hope ya’ll don’t get in trouble for the pics on here, hahaha :)
