Icarus Studios is making a huge effort to improve Fallen Earth, its post-apocalyptic MMORPG, featuring a human post-nuclear civilization. This game is cool, it has one of the best crafting systems in the market and is far away from the conventional and average MMO. Simply different, you must try it if you’re looking to flee from orcs, elves and pixies.

With this patch, begins the first phase of the combat system revamp, altering main combat formulas and mitigation. Other aspects, as Mutations, Skills and Capstones have been unlocked from the Faction System, so players can choose their abilities, no matter which side they fight for.

“Our goal for the combat revamp is to retain solo play and also provide a challenge, make grouping viable and necessary for group content, and encourage build variety, The next stage of improvements will be to Skills and Mutations, and will get us even closer to this goal.”

AP is changed as well, so everyone playing Fallen Earth can now earn additional AP from different in-game activities: crafting, PvP, harvesting, etc… with an AP Spent Cap. In addition, the new player’s impressions of the game will change drastically, as the extended tutorial has been revamped and the original tutorial has been revised, making it more action-oriented, as well of informative with additional help tips.

“It’s important that we continue to implement and improve content for new players as well as existing. Fallen Earth is a harsh world and we filter through a lot of stats and player feedback to measure how well acquainted new players are with the Wasteland.”

When players run the tutorials, once finished, they’ll have the option to explore the restructured starter town of Boneclaw, available for new and veteran players, with more over 50 new missions, new encounter areas and a vanity pet. But this is not all, as the game’s graphics got some love, enhancing terrain textures and lighting, making the game visually better.

And last, but so important, Fallen Earth has seen a good “bug-hunt”, along with improvements to AI, Conflict Towns and Control Points, while gift boxes, full of festive stuff inside, have been added to the game, celebrating these festive dates and the releasing of Fallen Earth Patch 1.7.4.

“Much of what you see in patch 1.7.4 are changes and improvements that are enabling us to move into the much anticipated Sector 4 next year.”

Not enough? Then go to the wastelands and experience it yourself… if you dare to leave fantasy games behind.
