Editor’s Note: Originally titled ‘Trion Worlds Lifts End of Nations NDA, Closed Beta 4 Planned,’ this post has been reclaimed to offer details on tomorrow’s final Closed Beta for the MMORTS End of Nations.
Asked in our lastest interview about the status of End of Nations heading to open beta, Chris Lena responded that it would make the move when the company felt that a closed beta phase went nearly perfect. Today’s announcement of Closed Beta 4 means the senior producer wasn’t kidding about the commitment to the beta process. However, the dropping of the non-disclosure agreement means the game is that much closer to open beta.
But you’re not reading this for a bit of anecdotal evidence leading to wild accusations of the game heading to open beta in the immediate future. You want the skinny on Phase 4 of the closed beta process. CB4 will begin bright and early at 8:00 AM PST on Thursday, October 4. That’s roughly 15 days away. It will culminate at 9:00 PM PST on Sunday, October 9.
Hit the jump for the latest features and maps to test and a special perk to those that come out for CB4. Continue Reading

A Marvel-based MMOG has been a comic-book nerd’s wet dream for some time. After seeing the movie properties come together in Marvel’s Avengers earlier this summer, the desire to stomp around the massive universe has only become stronger. Gazillion Entertainment, developer of the family-friendly Marvel Super Hero Squad Online, blew the lid of Marvel Heroes at PAX Prime 2012 and LoreHound was there to get the skinny.
Associate Producer Matt Group detailed the Diablo-inspired MMORPG to iTZKooPA shortly after the panel that revealed three new playable heroes, Punisher, Daredevil and Squirrel Girl. Group went on to discuss the play mechanics, including the cleaner HUD and easy to pick-up controls, access to the vast array of Marvel storyline, characters and costumes and “public combat zones.”
Hit the jump for all the awesome details, including the Closed Beta launch date.

The monster hunting MMORPG coming from Perfect World Entertainment is looking tastier by the day. If consistently fighting unique boss battles isn’t up your alley, then steer clear of this one. Today, the RaiderZ team launched a new video series introducing prospective players – that’d be all of you – to the various areas of Rendel.
Broken Mast is just a small island of the RaiderZ landscape and acts as the game’s starting zone for all players. The seaside zone is home to pirates, sea creatures and wretched beasts. Senior Producer Mark Hill promises a handful of reveals from next weekend’s PAX Prime, and we’ll be there to cover it for you.
“Later this August, we’re also looking forward to showing off more new content at PAX Prime, including new maps, more epic boss encounters, and a closer look at the game’s Transformation System, which lets players channel their inner beast to take on the form of Rendel’s most deadly creatures,” said Senior Producer Mark Hill.
Until then, hit the cut for the first zone introduction for Broken Mast and a new round of screenshots. Continue Reading

The RaiderZ team is excited to share a new trailer detailing some new things to happen in the upcoming monster hunting, action mmorpg. Together with this new trailer some new screenshots were also shared.
Senior Producer Mark Hill said that in addition to offering a closer look at the game’s mounts and combat system, which finds players wielding limbs from defeated monsters and environment items as weapons, the latest episode also highlights RaiderZ’s unique monster transformation system.
Under the right conditions, players can channel their inner beast and transform themselves into many of the deadly monsters that roam the land of Rendel. It’s one of the many unique features that Hill believes sets RaiderZ apart from the pack. Plus, don’t forget about weaponized musical instruments!
After having seen the trailer I personally am really excited to say that I am looking forward to transforming into different monsters! Additional screens shots and the trailer are under the cut! Continue Reading

We hope you grabbed a Closed Beta key for RaiderZ from the Lore Hound promotion before they went, because the testing is about to begin. Just ahead of the CBT, Perfect World Entertainment is teasing the story behind an early boss encounter. The Goblin Golem is an abominable construct controlled by goblin magic that has ravaged the local countryside.
The trailer provides a detailed look at gameplay and how players must alter their strategy for every boss encounter. Reaction time is key if your group expects to take down the goblin-controlled behemoth. Of note is the coliseum environment the battle is done in. It appears that most of these encounters will see battle done in a quarantined area.
Check out the Goblin Golem trailer after the break.

Trion Worlds and Petroglyph Games will be launching the free-to-play MMORTS End of Nations to a select few in just three days. While there are no guarantees in life, everyone should be vying for a spot in the title’s Closed Beta phase. After all, it’s an RTS from the minds that essentially created the genre in the mind of most gamers. What with Dune and Command & Conquer being part of their pedigree.
In the latest Twitter update, End of Nations decided to tease us just ahead of the beginning of closed beta. To your right you can see the latest bit of concept art, the seemingly behemoth flying contraption Velocitor.
I can’t wait to blow it up.
