Forget what I said a few tweets ago. After receiving an entire handful of upset/disgruntled/angry/sad tweets I have decided to pull iTZKooPA out of summer retirement. The large cleric that could will be returning to lead the seventh episode of Instance Gratification: DDO on August 29 at 12:00 PM (noon) EST.
As always, Khyber is the server of choice. Be sure to complete the tutorial area and dungeon before go time. That means you should have at least arrived at the Harbor of Stormreach. Level 4 is recommended. The group is still in need of a tank. There is plenty of time between now and Sunday for a new player to join the group so please do.
Shoot me a tweet or drop a comment in this post if you want to be in the top six. I will be running on my warforged cleric (iTZKooPA). Supplies of DDO Point cards are still available to those that attend thanks to the break!
The Lore Hounds returned to Stormreach in full force last week, tackling not one, not two but three dungeons for Episode 6. After assaulting the Waterworks, the crew decided to try their hand at the casinos thanks to a quest from The Leaky Dinghy. With skulls cracked and winnings collected, we moved on to another quest chain. Many, many objects were destroyed in the making of “For Baudry’s Booty!.”
Episode 7 will happen, but when it will happen remains a mystery. iTZKooPA will be unavailable to run the community event for the next three weeks due to E3 coverage and a long overdue vacation. Nevertheless, the Lore Hounds plan on continuing the tradition. We’ll have updated information as Sunday(s) rolls around.
In the mean time, please complete the tutorial questline of Korthos Island (final adventure detailed here), otherwise you will not be eligible for a group invite. Level 3 is recommended, and as always, the deed will take place on the Khyber server.
Due to some technical difficulties two weekends ago, last weekend’s Episode 6 has been bumped up to Episode 5. This week sees the Lore Hounds heading into the early parts of Waterworks, once again meeting up with some angry kobolds. A smaller group of hounds meeting the Gnashtooth Clan, an angrier and more strategic group of kobolds, caused some fails. To say the least.
Episode 6 will happen (again) on Sunday, May 23 and is currently scheduled for an 11:00 AM EST start time on the Khyber server. Please complete the tutorial questline of Korthos Island (final adventure detailed here), otherwise you will not be eligible for a group invite.
Prospective attendees should drop a line below so we can gauge the expected attendance. Include your class if you’ve already decided upon one. I will not be in attendance. Look for Amatera on halfling rogue named Amatera or Juggynaut for an invite.
[Ed. Note - Gnarltooth Clan is mentioned in the video. The squad actually fought the Gnashtooth clan]
Ah, kobolds. You are simply a people of oversized rats with all the anger and none of the brains. Your affection for candles, treasure or plain junk is nothing short of staggering. But I will receive my payment. I will fulfill my duty to some guy above ground.
Do not through your lives away, for I have with me a band of merry men known as the Lore Hounds. They hunger to use their skills of graveyard running, trap tripping and the unprecedented ability to fail upon you. Fear us, for we know not why we are here, just that you and your clansmen possess a knack for hiding treasure. And XP. Delicious XP.

The Lore Hound DDO crew meet again last Sunday to thin out the kobold population. Despite having a well-rounded team, including Amatera to disable traps, the party hit its first major roadblock when defending Stormreach from an endless invasion (200 is endless IMO) of kobold critters. We struggled through it, but hilarity ensued. Take a gander.
Episode 5 will happen on Sunday, May 9 and is currently scheduled for an 11:00 AM EST start time on the Khyber server. It’ll be Amatera’s first turn at the helm. In his honor, let’s make sure there are tons of players online to make my Sunday job look as difficult as possible. Please complete the tutorial questline of Korthos Island (final adventure detailed here), otherwise you will not be eligible for a group invite. Supplies of DDO Point cards are highly limited, but still available to those that attend!
Prospective attendees should drop a line below so we can gauge the expected attendance. Include your class if you’ve already decided upon one. I currently have a warforged cleric (iTZKooPA) and a halfling bard (iTZKHuPA). Amatera plays as a halfling rogue named Amatera. Who woulda guessed it?
Lore Hound’s band of merry men (and the androgynous Warforged) completed Korthos Island this weekend. After nearly a dozen hours, around a half dozen adventures, three levels and numerous trips to class trainers, the Instance Gratification team completed Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited’s lengthy starting zone. This week’s video closes with a first look at what lies ahead, Stormreach and a ridiculous amount of more adventures.
Episode 4 will once again happen on Sunday, and is currently scheduled for an 11:00 AM EST start time on the Khyber server. Please be sure to complete the tutorial questline of Korthos Island, otherwise you will not be eligible for a group invite. We’ll be clearing the first few dungeons in the harbor district for Episode 4. Supplies of DDO Point cards are limited, but still available to those that attend!
Don’t forget, Turbine is currently having a huge sale on Adventure packs in the DDO Store. Amatera and I both picked up a pair of adventure packs that contain over 10 adventures in total. All for less than the 500 point cards Lore Hound is giving away!
Prospective attendees should drop a line below so we can gauge the expected attendance. Include your class if you’ve already decided upon one. I currently have a warforged cleric (iTZKooPA) and a halfling bard (iTZKHuPA).
Join iTZKooPA and an increased troop of heroes as they return to Korthos Island to mop up the last few adventures before heading into the wilds of Stormreach. Episode 2 was filled with a round robin of characters, maxing out at a full (unbalanced) group of six players. We are still in need of a dedicated tank.
Thanks to the XP Bonus event, and some tasty 20% XP multipliers, most of the group hit or are about to hit level 3. Due to the complexity of leveling (and ranking) in Dungeons and Dragons Online, iTZKooPA closes the video with a recap of the unique process.
Episode 3 will once again happen on Sunday, and is currently scheduled for an 11:00 AM EST start time on the Khyber server. Please be sure to complete the tutorial area and dungeon before go time. We’ll be clearing that last two dungeons on Korthos Island before we head off to Stormreach for the real challenges. Supplies of DDO Point cards are now limited, but still available to those that attend!

Hope to see you there! How do you like the new name?!
Before the PR disaster that is the “Offer Wall” I teamed up with a few community members for some dungeon goodness. The trio of Warforged characters tore apart the opening dungeons. We chewed through our purchased XP items and absorbed the XP bonus until each of us had hit level 2. After some laughs, deaths, near wipes – the dungeon mobs can hit really hard in the higher difficulties – we called it a day.
Sure, there was only three members, but we have to start somewhere. Episode 2 will once again happen on Sunday, and is currently scheduled for an 11:00 AM EST start time on the Khyber server. Please be sure to complete the tutorial area and dungeon before go time. Level 2 would be nice, but is not required. Supplies of DDO Point cards are still available to those that attend!
