Minecraft Adventures 1.3: Imperial Station (It’s Not A Moon!)

3 January 2012 | No Comments » | Mordil

Welcome to the new year, Lore Hounds! Today’s episode is a speed build of the Imperial Stations that litter my highway system.

The video was recorded before I had a mass editor, and before I knew about texture packs (I’m a noob!).

As always, you can download our texture pack in HD or SD. If you want to do HD, make sure you use MC Patcher for PC or Mac OS X. For instructions on doing all these things, check out the first post here.

Enjoy!

LoreFlix: Rolling With Mad Deeps

16 August 2011 | 4 Comments » | Heartbourne

If you as big a fan of Rolling in the Deep as I am, this parody probably strikes a chord. The struggle of not downing a boss pierces the soul as much as Adele’s voice.

If you are into showtunes and rolling with mad deeps, join us on Proudmooore! Xander (the singer on this track) is, like me, a proud Proudmoorian, albeit on Alliance side.

LoreFlix: Roll a D6

I don’t remember how I found this, but I did and I can’t get enough of it. Produced for those out there who take role-playing to heart (Beararms and Mordil – as they’ve mentioned countless times in their LiveCast), it uses an interesting switch of words on “Like a G6″ by Far East Movement.

Of course, it’s set on the premise of playing 4th Edition Dungeons and Dragons, and has little love by those who are die-hard v3.5 (or Pathfinder) players, but it can easily be set up as a mantra for any role-playing game using the d20 system.

It is written by Connor Anderson and Zac Smith. Enjoy!

LoreFlix: The Future Soon

When I was younger I used to go to a friend’s house and play Magic: The Gathering and D&D. I’ve played all the Pokémon versions for the Game Boy and I’m currently paying 15 dollars every month to play a MMORPG. Yes, I am a geek and I’m so proud of being one.

A few years ago, I met her in my English institute. I still remember sitting in front of her, she looked gorgeous and not only that, but she was extremely smart too. She had an accent, a Spanish one, just like mine. It was love at first sight! I so wanted to talk with her, but I just couldn’t. You see, I’m quite shy so I wasn’t able to talk with her until 2 days before the course finished. The teacher chose partners for a little classwork. Of course, we ended up in the same group. That’s when I noticed something that I couldn’t believe.

LoreFlix: Truth About Murlocs

7 March 2011 | 4 Comments » | pixiestixy

Just in time for my first few strokes swimming with the murlocs in Vashj’ir, this gem of a machinima was posted last week as a collaboration between DarkPippi (vocals and lyrics) and RavenSylphe Productions (video).

This parody of Rainbow Connection (Kermit the Frog version from Sesame Street) explains the thought process behind a murloc’s plight. And it’s really quite simple — “We find you, we kill you, we eat!” The animation is simple, as is the song, but within that simplicity you’ll find some great humor and surprising cuteness, considering the subject is cannabalization. I’m adding it to my list of favorites.

Check out DarkPippi’s original video for the song, which includes the lyrics for your sing-a-long pleasure, or go ahead and download the MP3.

Loreflix: Winter Veil, Christmas, and Holiday Edition

24 December 2010 | 2 Comments » | Heartbourne

Yesterday, we presented you with Greatfather Winter, my holiday favorite. After some contemplation, I realized there are lots of great WoW holiday songs. You still have a day to burn an annoying CD to play while opening presents with the family, so consider adding these classics:

1. Hark the Wrathbabies by Totalbiscuit

Think the “wrathbabies” who played during an easy expansion are going to be overwhelmed by Cataclysm raid content?Enjoy the throwback to TBC and vanilla WoW days that the difficult Cataclysm content gives you? Play this song on loop for a few hours.

2. All I Want for Christmas is a Blue by Theavatards

Sick of losing rolls on your dungeon gear? I think you’ve find your new theme song.

LoreFlix: Greatfather Winter (Winter Veil) by Cranius

23 December 2010 | 2 Comments » | Heartbourne

Looking to get in the spirit of Winter Veil? This song has made it onto my Christmas playlist alongside Jingle Bells and Mr. Grinch.

Cranius has an amazing voice. I would love to see him sing live at Blizzcon. If you want to see more of his stuff, check out my other favorites, Darrowshire and Ulduar, or his Youtube channel.

LoreFlix: StarCraft II Banelings (with Husky!)

22 November 2010 | 3 Comments » | Heartbourne

Husky is famous for his StarCraft commentary. Just about any StarCraft player has made some sort of joke based on his trademark “H to usky, Husky” opening he uses for his videos. The StarCraft community exploded when he released this video to celebrate his 300,000th subscriber on YouTube, and I’ve been playing the song on loop ever since.

In the video, Husky plays the role of a Terran player matched up against a Zerg and is having problems with banelings. He has a short rapping part and stars in his raging segments, but the video is largely starring and produced by a well-known YouTuber, Kurt Hugo Schneider.

Go check out Husky and Kurt’s channel if you liked the video, or buy the song on iTunes.
