BlizzCon swag is always a big deal, sometimes resold on the internet for more than the price of a ticket itselfi! TZKooPA managed to score his bag of junk early, and we’ve got some exclusive high-resolution pictures of its various contents. There’s a full gallery with close-ups of individual items after the jump, but here’s the selection in its entirety:
Not attending the event myself, I couldn’t tell you precisely what each item is, but most of it seems to speak for itself (such as the various coupons and notices). The marquee swag this year seems to be the exclusive 2010 Authenticator, a StarCraft II Trial Edition (though who at the con doesn’t own it already?),and the Dethling, which appears to be a Deathwing-themed statuette (pictures in the gallery). And, of course, who can forget the Murloc Marine Battle.net portrait and Deathy in-game pet?Continue Reading

Discussion:
It’s a busy week with news, announcements trailers and teasers, yet no game releases since APB, which isn’t doing so hot. With WoW in a downswing and nothing on the immediate horizon, do you think this window is a missed opportunity by developers/publishers?

As my lips breathe the sweetest of all words, Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty, I sigh with anxiety knowing that I must wait another two days until it is in my hands.
To get pumped up for the game, I check one of my favorite standbys: the Starcraft Wiki. It can be difficult to keep all of the different Terran factions sorted out in my head, let alone all of the planets and characters. For all of my Starcraft lore needs, the Starcraft Wiki keeps my mind fresh.
Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty will be in our hands in just 72 hours. We continue our feature series to keep your mind off the fact that you can’t play the beta with GosuTV, an excellent video show highlighting strategies, news, replay analysis, and anything else related to Starcraft II.
GosuTV has been on a hiatus with the beta up and down over the past couple month. They will be back with new episodes soon, but if you’ve never seen an episode, check our their most recent episode after the break.
A mere four days lie between us and the release of Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty. If you were lucky enough to snag a Collector’s Edition reservation, like myself, you’ll be wearing your Jim Raynor dog tag and flipping through the art book while the game installs in a mere ~96 hours. The beta is officially over, so how are you going to satiate your hunger for Starcraft 2 goodness? If the newly released trailer didn’t pump you up enough, then check back to Lore Hound at 8 AM Eastern every day (until Tuesday) for featured Starcraft content from around the web that you may or may not be familiar with.
Today, we are featuring the excellent Day9tv, a daily replay video with commentary by the top-tier Starcraft player Day[9].
In this episode of Lore Hound’s StarCraft 2 UMS feature, I’m trying out the Lunar Lander map. This is an adaptation of the old arcade Lunar Lander game, so if you’re into classic gaming you should give it a try.
You can download the map at Curse or SC2Mapster. If you have any maps that you think deserve a feature or are looking for a particularly good UMS of a certain genre, drop a line in the comments.
