Infinite Crisis Unveils Two Lanes: iTZKooPA Reacts with the “Sun is the Worst!”

12 June 2013 | No Comments » | iTZKooPA

Hey. Did you know that I am Irish? No? Well, it’s the (unfortunate) truth. This means a few simple things. First, there’s some sort of curse that I need to be worried about. Not exactly sure what that means quite yet. Second, I’ve this unfortunate skin condition of not being able to OH GOD IS THAT NATURAL SUNLIGHT?!

Now that I am back under an umbrella with a built-in T-shirt, Sunblock 5000, and the where with all to hide under every shadow in the immediate vicinity, I can present you with some new, key information on Infinite Crisis. That’d be the news that Turbine Entertainment has developed a new map for the upcoming MOBA. Not that SMITE hasn’t been eloquent with its intentions, but IC is hoping to surprise its competition with Coast City, an all-new gameplay option.

The new, two-lane map features a pair of lanes, turrets, Power Relays for map vision and the infamous Doomsday Device. Don’t believe me? Check out the trailer below. If you dare. Wuss.

WBIE & MLG Put Cart Before Horse with Infinite Crisis Partnership

30 May 2013 | No Comments » | iTZKooPA

In a vain sense of marketing, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and MLG have signed a partnership for the upcoming MOBA from Turbine Entertainment. Never mind the fact that Infinite Crisis is in super early closed beta testing. In fact, the exciting property only has a handful of playable gods and has been tested by a large audience just twice. Let’s not forget that Turbine Entertainment, while and incredibly talented and experienced MMORPG developer, has never been heralded for its PvP expertise. Let alone development of an massive multiplayer battle arena.

It’s not that I’m pessimistic. In fact, by nature I am quite the opposite. It’s just that the company, and title, are in the earliest of stages. Time, even if it’s at the parent corporate level, is best spent tailoring the game before making third-party agreements. Sure, the long-term expectations speaks volumes for the confidence WBIE has in its subsidiary, but the timing is wrong. All wrong.

The synergy of competitive play and the DC universe will kick off in a few weeks at E3. Come June 11-13, players from Complexity and Curse Academy will compete live from the WB Games booth.

I can’t wait to see how the professional teams showcase how broken a game so early in development is…

Infinite Crisis Reveals Shazam, Unveils Cyborg

29 May 2013 | No Comments » | iTZKooPA

Turbine Entertainment had a busy schedule before the Memorial Day holiday, which I enjoyed immensely as I hope you did. But you’re not hear sheerly for pleasantries. You want the delectable details, succulent stills and vivacious video reveals from Infinite Crisis. The upcoming MOBA is unlocking new champions at a rapid fire pace. True, most of it has been focused on the Batman multiverse but it appears those bounds have been broken.

The most recent unveiling is Cyborg, the fallen athlete known as Victor Stone. Cyborg is best known as the quintessential superhero of DC Comics since the launch of “The New 52” in 2011. In game, he plays the role of a burst power-based ranged character. Each skill augments his hand cannon, unleashing health-based damage, debuffs, AoE damage and stuns, and a personal buff. His ultimate, well, it’s basically a perfectly-itemized shot.

Shazam, a electrified teenager, plays the unusual role of a melee power character with strong initiation and survivability. Those last two are mighty important because Shazam is a mere mortal. The Energy-based character relies on his high restoration to launch his attacks, crowd control, and AoE. Shazam features a two abilities as his third, which players can switch between to restore energy or increase power.

Check out both trailers and new art for Green Lantern after the jump.

Turbine Entertainment is certainly a busy bee. The Massachusetts-based developer is continuing to produce a breathtaking amount of content for Lord of the Rings Online, its first MOBA, the upcoming Infinite Crisis, and Dungeons & Dragons Online. Infinite Crisis Introduces Tanky, Beefcake Joker

18 May 2013 | No Comments » | iTZKooPA

The latest addition to the roster of Infinite Crisis is Gaslight Joker, yet another Batman villain. This multiverse character is a hardcore beefcake, capable of absorbing ridiculous amounts of damage. That’s a good attribute to have, as Gaslight Joker loses health each time he uses an ability. His passive replaces it as the character picks up credits.

Playing a bit like Zac of League of Legends fame, Batman’s arch nemesis isn’t a one-trick pony. Gaslight Joker features many support capabilities, including a healing debuff and fear. In addition, the trickster can be built to produce a substantial amount of damage in his own right.

The reveal trailer after the cut markets Gaslight Joker as a high sustain tank. Yet one can easily see that Gaslight Joker can seemingly be built in a variety of ways, depending on need. Now if only I could get in the closed beta to see if my suspicions are correct.

Your standard Poison Ivy and Gaslight Catwomen will be joining the roster of the upcoming F2P DC Comics MOBA.
