This dungeon provided many new challenges for us as builders, and we think we did a substantial job. Note that most of the blocks used are placeholders until we get our client up for us to build with our actual art.
Here’s the description for Arcadian Spire:
High the sky, no one even knew the Arcadian Spire was there.
From the mantle of the heavens, Wind Lord Tuhuan overlooked the infinite masses of worlds.
He has decided to descend upon the mortals of Amalos and take up residence along with his elemental lord brethren.
The portal to Arcadian Spire is on a small floating dias near the village of Verlandorf. Head East out of Brestan, or West out of Qairon, and head to the Battle of the Sand Demon.

Oh phooey. You may view this as petty or just me being a grouch. That’s fine. I just need to vent a titch. A scant few moments ago, I saw a breach of an NDA. It wasn’t a massive preview or smorgasbord of screenshots. Nothing that over the top. Just a simple tweet by a lucky gamer that got into the first Defiance beta, which kicked off earlier this morning.
@PaulFawcett2 dropped a short thumbs up on Defiance. “LOVING the game so far. Nice Job!” That’s it.
What’s got me annoyed is that the official Defiance Twitter account turned around and retweeted this breach of the Non-Disclosure Agreement. The agreement, in short, specified the limits of conversation we early players could have (emphasis by Trion Worlds).
* PLEASE NOTE – If you agree to the NDA you are NOT ALLOWED to discuss the game or your experience in public.
Blizzard has finally revealed the release date for Diablo 3, which is May 15th. Pre-orders also begin today; although, there doesn’t seem to be any sort of reward or bonus for pre-ordering the game. A beta key would have been nice.
It was rumored last week from a Tweet by Blizzard Game Director, Jay Wilson, that the possible release date was going to be April 17th, which obviously turned out wrong. However, its still a month sooner than I was predicting, I really thought it would be mid to late June.
Anyway, I’m happy with a May 15th release. How about you?
Early this morning the fans of Funcom‘s upcoming mmorpg, The Secret World, had an excited moment when gamer.no reported a release date had been given at last: April 24th. Ragnar Tornquist, The Secret World‘s senior producer, had apparently announced this date at a Norwegian conference, and it was quickly broadcast across the net for the fans who are eagerly awaiting any news about the game. After a flurry, puzzlement ensued when the article and the tweet disappeared.
The article later reappeared in a slightly edited form. It turns out the announcement was premature; Funcom later produced a press release stating that the April 24th date was only an internal goal. “April 2012″ is still the official date.
Funcom has previously announced the launch month for the game to be April 2012 and wants to stress that there is currently no change or update on the expected time for commercial launch of “The Secret World“.
For those following the game, April 24th has been and remains the expected release date. A poster inThe Secret World‘s official forums explains why this makes such a great date for the anticipated release. It’s unofficial, of course, but the logic is sound, and now it’s been paired with a premature and unofficial announcement. Personally, I’m hoping this is the day. It’s just a few days after my birthday, so I can get my partying out of the way before settling down to enjoy my gift to myself.
What do you think? Is this a likely date? Will we get our hands on something official soon, or will the game be delayed?
