**Update: Hi-Rez released the God Reveal video today, so you can find it below the cut now.
Hi-Rez Studios patched SMITE today, adding Ne Zha. This has been the first Chinese pantheon added since Guan Yu way back last summer during Closed Beta.
I quickly patched and headed into a Joust match against my wife as Anhur. We discovered that Ne Zha’s early game could potentially be very potent if played correctly, but his mid game is lacking. Without levels or items to negate other players, Ne Zha can easily be overtaken if abilities are missed. Anhur managed to kill me five times until I had the items to completely take him down.
Late game gets pretty crazy if you build movement and attack speed. Crits here and there will hit for anywhere between 300-600, with attacks being thrown out 2.5 times per second.
At any rate, here’s the list of things to note in this patch, according to me:
Portal has had a major change from 1 use and indefinite lifetime to as many players every 2 seconds for a 30 second lifetime.
Motivate has had a major change as well, from buffing the protections and health of nearby minions to the nearest 3 minions getting fully healed, and become fire minions.
Cacodemon Ymir is released this patch. Anyone who is level 30 now, or hits level 30 before SMITE goes live will earn this skin.
Twitch streaming integration is fully added to SMITE, allowing players to stream via the SMITE client without the need of a third party tool.
After the cut you can find Ne Zha’s abilities in text form, along with the rest of the patch notes. Hi-Rez hasn’t has released the God Reveal video for Ne Zha yet, so when they do, we’ll update this post to include it. Check out the official reveal after the cut!
This Beta isn’t going to function like most “weekend” betas in which you can only play Friday night to Sunday night, as you’ll be able to log-in at your convenience for several weeks.
That should be plenty of time to check out all the factions, races, and classes that WildStar contains.

Cryptic Studios is certainly taking full advantage of the Dungeons & Dragons intellectual property for Neverwinter. The developer released its latest zone reveal late last week focusing on one of the most awe inspiring cities available to the action-oriented MMORPG. Few cities are as majestic as the Jewel of the North, a bustling city before the Spellplague and after the eruption of Mount Hotenow.
Saved from the ravages of the external factors ever present in the Forgotten Realms by its massive city wall, the ‘Jewel of the North’ is a token to Lord Neverember’s tireless efforts to protect his people. Even the ones that hope to tear apart his reign from within the city’s very walls.
Hit the cut for the latest trailer taking viewers across the regions of Neverwinter, gameplay, included mounted combat and a collection of advanced skills for the classes. Continue Reading
Testing Grounds, what Infinity Games Publishing is labeling as “arguably the most important feature to date,” is now online and fully operational. The latest content patch from Piranha Games’ insanely efficient development cycle unleashes a new mode that enables players to hone their skills before ever stepping into a competitive match.
Whether it be training on a new mech, working out the kinks with a new payload or playing for the first time, Testing Grounds will allow Mechwarrior Online players to do it without judgemental comments from the trolls of the Internet.
It’s never just one bit of content with Piranha. Never. Players can now suit up and speed around the hills, wintery lands and bombed out locations in the latest Hero mech, the Cicada X-5 Mech. Oddly enough, they don’t devastate their opponents by unleashing a torrent of nanobots to devour their very existence.
At any rate, trackable player statistics and the Mountain Lion mech pattern round out the patch. Interested in seeing the Cicada X-5 Mech in action? There’s a trailer for that after the cut. Continue Reading
With the official start of Patch 5.2 on the World of Warcraft PTR last week, we’ve seen a wave of information coming out on data-mining sites as of late on what we’ll be seeing in the new content.
Now we have something a bit more concrete: a trailer straight from Blizzard on Patch 5.2: The Thunder King. We get a bit of a preview of the new raid encounter, the Throne of Thunder.
Take a look:
I keep rewinding to get a better look at those Dino Rider-esque mounts in Zandalari-inspired armor. So much win.
A full version of the patch notes can be found at battle.net, and we’ll be keeping an eye out for more developments. Continue Reading
HiRez announced another god this morning, and it’s been the one I’ve been interested in since re-watching The Avengers just a week and a half ago: Loki.
This classical Rogue-esk character just might be up iTZKooPa’s alley.
They are eager to release this god, with the new game mode for SMITE which looks to be either Capture the Flag (I really hope so!) or a Deathmatch from the photo shared by HiRez today on Twitter shown to the right.
Here’s the video of their latest reveal; and continue reading for the text version of Loki’s passive and active abilities.
I make my video editing debut for LoreHound on today’s episode of Minecraft Adventures. Today I will show the castle in my city, Qairon, which houses each of the Dukes of Qairon.
Qairon is a city built on the official LoreHound Minecraft server, Amalos, hosted by Spellbook Entertainment.
