I have recently gone back to old reliable, World of Warcraft. I logged in to find my loyal Death Knight waiting for me in Dalaran, in the Horde inn. He was standing by the bar, holding his Titansteel mace, and waiting patiently for my return. I was happy to see most of my guild online, and within minutes we were raiding Heroics, just like that, just like old times.
Well not like old times, better. It seems more people are running heroics now, there are group a plenty. I enjoy Lich King’s quick, fast paced dungeons. All the dungeons are accessible by the entire player base regardless of casual or hard core. Most of these dungeons can be run in about an hour, more or less depending on the group. It had been a few months since I had played the game. I was able to effectively use my DK to the best of his ability. It has been this way for most of the week, sometimes running 2-3 heroics a day.
Make sure to grab the daily heroic quest in Dalaran for added Emblems of Heroism. For those of you that don’t know, these can be used to purchase really good gear. These emblems drop off all bosses in heroic dungeons. The one particular item I am looking forward to purchasing is the heirloom shoulders. These are account bound, and level with your characters. They also give you a +10% bonus to XP for quest completions and mob kills. Heirloom shoulders remove some of the pain of leveling your fourth, fifth or 68th alt. I’m off to fight the evils of the Lich King and of course the abominations known as Night Elf Hunters.
I have to look into those shoulders. Too many alts.
I really enjoyed doing heroics, OS, Vault and NAXX. Once I progressed into Ulduar I got very bored with WoW. It feels like there is only one thing for me to do in WoW with my favorite character. And I can only do it once a week (actaully twice 10/25 man – but its the same thing). I tried playing alts, but hate the idea of doing the level grind AGAIN.
Im looking forward to 3.2 if only for a renewed reason to do heroics again.
Also those shoulders are great. While you are leveling you don’t really nee the best items at all times. Too me its worth getting the cloth ones just so it works on all classes.
The shoulders do not work on quest XP, just killing mobs.
Josh,
Sorry bud but they do work on quest XP.
