The wait is finally over, Eve Online: Incarna is coming to a galaxy near you June 21st. Eve Online: Incarna will, for the first time, allow players to walk around the interior of space stations and to have an actual character avatar. For those of you veteran players, you might remember this was first talked about in Nov 2006, so CCP has been working on this for almost 5 years!
Well Incarna is almost here and to prove it, below is a new video released today showing off the new system and the Captain’s Quarters.
The Captain’s Quarters will replace the current hangar view with a multifunctional room from which players can perform all the actions they previously could in the hangar view as well as manage planetary infrastructures, explore new opportunities with a redesigned agent finder, use the corporation recruitment interface to find new allegiances, and watch streaming data, fed live from the vibrant universe of EVE.
this is but the first encounter you will have with Incarna. Through the course of this entire year we will roll out more content, more rooms and more functionality and by the end of this year you could be trading contraband goods in seedy bars
