Earth Eternal Coming Back

It seems Earth Eternal really is eternal, as the failed MMORPG is on its way back to beta for a second time. Earth Eternal closed down last year due to a lack of funding, but has since been purchased by Outblaze and Turnout Ventures.

Earth Eternal has being revamped and reborn and is getting ready for open beta once again, but only for US players it seems.

It’s been a long time since we last explored the exciting world of Earth Eternal but we are proud to announce the return of the US Earth Eternal service this Summer! Currently we are putting the finishing touches on the US server and we plan to open the game into Open Beta very soon.

No information has been given as to what changes have been implemented from last year, which seems a bit strange especially since they’re going straight into open beta. When APB Reloaded re-launched they couldn’t stop talking about the changes they made.  I think they might need a better PR team.

  1. Actually it is available to anyone outside of Japan (as they have their own version, Ikkimonogatari. They are referring to it as the “U.S servers” because they are located in the U.S. In the official announcement of the games return they mentioned the changes to the game, which features a level cap of 50, new dungeons, improved graphics, a new lobby system to help you connect with friends and the sidekick system.

  2. Ikimonogatari, and very safe to assume Earth Eternal Reborn, is very much the same game as previously with VERY little updates to content and graphics. The changes to the game are to the very initial levels, which one passes with only a day of play. After those initial levels the regions are identical to the old game with only very few modifications to some of the cities, which are easy to pass right by unless one is deliberately looking for them. This remains a Browser Based MMO so the graphics are poor with only slight changes in the attention to detail with some of the props. Game play remains the same with the very basic classifications of Knight/Rogue/Druid/Mage. The same performance issues, bugs and lag continued to haunt Ikimonogari. I honestly don’t see how they improved this game in the slightest while it was down. I don’t believe TurnOut is truly backing or committed to this project.
