BioWare Mythic Takes Full Control of European Warhammer Servers

BioWare Mythic parent company EA announced today that they have assumed full control over the European publishing, operating, and subscription services for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Previously the services were administrated by GOA, a division of France Telecom.

Eugene Evans, the General Manager of BioWare Mythic, said about the change, “Today, we’re excited to have the opportunity for BioWare Mythic to directly care for WAR players throughout Europe. We are committed to providing the highest possible level of service and maintaining the joy of epic Realm vs. Realm battles for all European players.”

A similar change, from GOA to BioWare Mythic, was made for European Dark Age of Camelot players in February. During the impending Warhammer Online transition servers will be down for 48 to 72 hours, which will be reimbursed to players in free gameplay. Players will have to make a BioWare Mythic account but all their information will be transferred.

GOA was heavily criticized for their downtime and billing mistakes during the launch of Warhammer Online in 2008.
