LOTRO: Rise of Isengard Beta Key Giveaway

We have some good news for MMOCrunch readers.  Turbine was kind enough to send us 5 Rise of Isengard beta keys for their upcoming Lord of the Rings Online expansion to giveaway to our readers.

Normally we would setup a giveaway page to give out the keys, however since we have a very limited number of them, we’ll be running this contest a little different.

  • To enter simply reply to this post stating why you think you should received a beta key to Rise of Isengard.
  • After 24 hrs, we’ll select our five favorite answers and send them a beta key using the email address used to comment. So make sure you enter a valid email or you won’t get the key.

  1. I would love to say that I want this beta key because I want to help Turbine build a better game. Unfortunately, the real reason I want one is so that I can poke around and look at all the new stuff. So…please, please, please, pleeeeeeaaasssseee give me one. I’ll wash your car for you!!!   2. *Equips bug slayer hammer* NEVER FEAR! I, THE BETA TESTER, AM HERE! I would very much love to beta test turbines newest expansion.I am a MMO gamer of 5 years now, and have closed beta tested multiple games,some of which included, 12 Sky 2, The Lord of the Rings f2p model,Runes of Magic, and some others that I am not at liberty to speak of at the moment. It would be great to have the chance to have an input as for balancing in the game and the like, of course finding bugs that can really kill the gameplay experience for most if not all players when it hits live.

  3. I’d love to test the Risengard beta. Risengard=Rise of Isengard. Get it! Hahahah. Hopefully bad jokes don’t lessen my chances of winning a beta key. =) Seriously though, I’ve played since SoA closed beta and I’d like the opportunity to help Turbine fix any last minute bugs and test the content to make sure it’s as polished as possible when launched.

  4. I could test out ROI with eight of my ten characters in order to give feedback from the perspective of different classes. They would get eight testers in one! I’ve been playing for three years and would love to have this chance. Wash your car? Heck, I’d DETAIL it for you!!!

  5. I think I deserve a beta key because I have been working extremely hard the last few weeks moving house, and think I deserve some fun new content to play!! (er I mean test) but anyway, yes please to a key if you have one. :)

  6. A beta key would give me the chance to help sweep out all the bugs that we KNOW we will find later if not..

    That and a chance to see the new content first, I mean, am only a Hobbit, not a robot , geez…

  10. Girlfriend loves LOTR. Wants to try this online… both college students, so money is tight. Key would make two people absolutely happy.

  11. I would love to test out the new features and I would really like to help make this game as great as it can be. I’m not gonna be one of these people who beg for a key, I just hope u pick me as one of the five winners.

  12. Its a shame only giveaways like this can actually get people to comment on the articles :( I far prefer MMOCrunch to some of the other more popular MMO ‘paid for advertorial’ sites.

    Start posting more people and not just when there are giveaways!

  13. I would like the key because im a loyal Fan Lotro and I have played from Start. I am very perturbed about the new updated the devs have done and if there is a chance I can help with beta and give feed back so this once was Great game can be Epic again and not lose out to Starwars.

  14. I would love to receive to beta key to explore the new areas and slap this little moron named Saruman. His tower should do a perfect place for my new loft with a lovely sight on the valley.

  19. I would like to win a key because i play lotro over years an iam totally excited in the new addon. I love to read the books and watch the movies but to play the game is a indescribable feeling.

  20. Hmm.. why should I receive a beta key? Well… I am no different that other LOTRO players. We all deserve a beta key. Just that I never got one… I live in Romania and somehow all the major gaming companies kept us away from every beta :( But I still have hope, especially now that you have this contest!

    Therefore, If you are kind enough to give me a key, I assure you that I’ll play all day long.. an some nights :)

  22. I would like a key because a have been very loyal to lotro over the years and have had liftime since the beginning and have also refered many friends to the game as well. I also have played many of the new recent betas so I know what im doing when it comes to reporting bugs etc and I also have alot of time on my hands to test it. Thanks for the giveaway too! :D

  23. 4 years ago I started fighting me through this game with each class day by day. Always on the run to find the ultimate key for your Character and the content. Maybe the ultimate key is not to find in the Battlefields, maybe it is possible to get it with my words. I am ready for Isengard
    with my soul, my body and my heart! I can hear my captain calling my name. He says: “Log me in into beta”.

    I survived Enedwaith…

    … but I will die if I can´t play Isengard (beta)!!!!

  25. As much as I love LotRO, I’ve been a bit bored with it lately and have been considering quitting. Winning a beta key to Isengard would likely rekindle my interest. I’d love to see the new areas and the class changes, especially minstrel, since it’s my main.

  26. I would love to have a beta key for Isengard because well its Isengard! I would love to see all the new things they are adding in the area and think it would be sweet to be among the few who already have a key to participate in the beta.

  27. As an experienced beta tester of various other games, and fan of this game/franchise, I’d be more than happy getting to test this expansion for Turbine.
    By being a part of making the expansion work well through reporting gameplay issues and giving feedback, I’d be knowing that the game would turn out great and fun for me and fellow LotRO players :)

    Seriously, I don’t think I deserve it any more than any other long time lotro player, but I have my reasons for wanting it. I would love to help provide feedback on the hunter and runekeeper, my favorite two classes and the only classes which no news has been released about. I love how the lotro devs allow us players to give feedback through blogs and dev diaries, but I feel like we have not been able to do so with the Hunter and RK, so I would like a key to do that. And finally, I am bored lol, done all the content currently available, all my char’s traits to 12 and so on. I want something to do and if it helps Turbine make RoI better that’s awesome.
