With the launch of World of Warcraft patch 4.2, Rage of the Firelands, Blizzard rolled out their new free trial offer, Starter Edition. The Starter Edition allows players an unlimited amount of time with multiple toons up to level 20 including the following,
- Players with the WoW Starter Edition can create draenei and blood elf characters, which were previously unavailable with trial accounts.
- The two starting zones associated with these races are also available to people wishing to try out the game.
- The gold limit has been raised to 10 gold, allowing Starter Edition players to purchase mounts when they reach the appropriate level.
All previous trial accounts have been reactivated and are now Starter Edition accounts, which means if you ever played the free trial and want to continue with your character, you now can. The Recurit-A-Friend program was also updated and you can find its details here.
Is the starter edition a smaller download? I mean, that’s the biggest hurdle they face, really – that download time.
This game is crap. Outdated graphics and poor PVE/PVP after level 40, as you can grind dungeons for faster rep and levels.
Also, you pay for weak service. I had an account in CA, USA, and it was hacked. This was over 5 years ago, and I STILL get emails from blizzard update: “SOme one has accessed your account, if you believe this is not you, CLICK HERE”.
I changed computers, emails, and COUNTRYS. I moved to Europe, started this “starter account” F2P wow, in European server… HACKED AGAIN at level 5. Some one accessed my battlenet account while I was away one weekend. Now…imagine if you paid for that char… And no, the company wont help you. Blizzard gre into a FAILBLOG corporation. its more about $ and less about game.
patch 4.2 suppose to be rage of firelands
