Dateline: November, 2010. Coming to you live, (cowering in a hidden corner of the Batcave kitchen) this reporter has just witnessed the release of a multitude of shiny new screencaps from the upcoming DC Universe Online. Created by developer Sony Online Entertainment, (in conjunction with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics) these DCU screenshots give the world a multiplicity of thrilling combat images in such varied and exotic locations as Arkham Asylum, Trigon’s Cave and, of course, the aforementioned Batcave.
Set for release sometime during the first quarter of 2011, DCU Online is a massively multiplayer action game playable on both the PC and the PS3. Players can be either hero or villain, exploring (or exploiting) Gotham City and Metropolis. The game also boasts a physics-powered combat system, gorgeous graphics and some pretty spectacular voice talent.
Keys for the upcoming beta test are available to those who preorder the game and provide a clear image of the receipt to the DCUO website.
