Writers Wanted!

Do you love MMOs? Do you love them enough to wax poetic (or rant) about them, at length, to your ever-patient family and friends? Have you ever wished for a platform of your own from whence you might proudly pontificate your passion with plentiful perspicacity? (OK, that last one was a little too much, even for me.) But if you’ve been longing for a chance to make your voice heard in the gaming community, this is that chance.

We here at MMOCrunch.com are looking for a few good writers. While there are quite a few specific categories that one might choose to write within, the basic breakdown of what we want is this: Columnists and Game Reporters.

Columnist:
As a columnist you would be expected to write either a weekly or bi-weekly article, demonstrating not only strong writing skills, an eye for spotting game detail and (dare I say it) a sense of humor, but the ability to turn out unique opinion-pieces on a regular schedule.

Game Reporter:
As a game reporter you would be expected to take official PR and news reports and deliver them to our readers in your own style, (no stale copy-and-paste reporting here!) a minimum of three times per week. You would also have the opportunity to try new MMOs during their beta stage, give your impressions and write reviews.

As well as the strong writing skills mentioned above, both positions require:

• A basic knowledge of image manipulation (cropping, resizing, etc.)
• The ability to meet regular deadlines
• An ability to take direction
• Knowledge of the inner-workings of WordPress is a plus, but not specifically required
