A great pre-order incentive to me is the one coming with in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, where if you pre-order from Gamestop you get a certain multi-player character (nothing special besides looks) which isn’t a game changer but is just a fun little multi-player vanity.
In addition to amatera talking about playing a damage dealing class, I play a Medic, but my Medic is a Disease Medic, so I run into the problem shadow priests had in vanilla somewhat where they were forced to heal to not get yelled at or excluded.
I’m not sure I really feel like I deserve to get extra things per say.
I just like getting extra things when I’m getting something like two months ahead of time. At least, I want something I can enjoy before the release (another game, some vanity item shipped before the game) something along those lines.
Like you guys said, my dream reward is something awesome. Like if I ordered SCII beforehand, and I spent like $500+ I’d buy it in a heartbeat for a life-size statue of one of the characters.
Halo 3 did something like that with the Collector’s Edition where you got the Spartan Helmet thing.
