RIFT's War-torn Instance: King's Breach

Fast on the heels of the Plane of Air reveal, Trion sends us another juicy content update. I’m getting the sense that Rift: Planes of Telara is set to be a thoroughly lore-riffic title, and I’m all the more giddy for it. Hit ‘continued…’ to read up on the story and flip through some screenshots.

A week and a half ago, Trion announced Rift’s entrance into closed beta, and today we have been deemed worthy to gaze upon King’s Breach. The new instance centers around the quintessential battle between Life & Death. However, this is no arbitrary struggle for survival; the Elves of House Aelfwar have put their reputation on the line as they push against the “flesh-crafted horrors” of the northern Death Rifts. The creators of these Death Rifts, the Deathtouched, know just as well as the Elves that there is more at stake here than blood and land.

It is fabled that Scarwood Reach hides a backdoor to the Dwarven sanctuary of Lord’s Hall.

While neither faction knows the true location (or whether the portal even exists), the Elves continue to employ their Life Rifts in an attempt to breach the Endless Court’s defenses and overcome the Deathtouched horrors. Ascended (players) who wish to brave this instance should not mistake Life & Death for Good & Evil; neither faction will hesitate to put you down, and while it may (or may not) be possible to choose a side, the more prudent option would be to strike at both while they are preoccupied…

Keep checking back for updates on Trion’s upcoming title, Rift: Planes of Telara.
