SWTOR Beta Canceled for this Weekend, Possibly All Weekends

Bioware announced that no only is this weekends beta testing canceled for Star Wars: The Old Republic, the rest of September’s beta weekends might be canceled as well, stating they are not guaranteeing any additional weekend betas.

There is no Beta Testing Weekend scheduled for this weekend. There may be further Beta Testing Weekends during September, but we’re not going to guarantee it. The weekend that just finished was really our first dry run of Beta Testing Weekends as a whole, and we have plenty of data to crunch, and decisions to make before we start things up again.

While it’s up in the air for now, BioWare did mention that tomorrow they will release a comprehensive FAQ regarding beta weekends along with details of the beta from last weekend. Also mentioned, that from here on out all beta weekends will continuously get bigger, which means more invites for everyone.

If it’s going to possibly take BioWare all of Sept to restart beta testing, that throws out Oct as a possible launch month and even Nov depending on how the rest of beta goes go. Bottom line, this sucks.

  1. People keep thinking this game is “about” to launch. Sad. November is going to be the earliest this game goes live. Then you have those of us promised early entry time. Could be December before it goes live to the general public. Could be early 2012 before the limits on sales is released.

  2. @Comstrike In November there will be Assasins Creed: Revelations and Batman: Arkham City and in 2012 there going to be better games than TOR. LOL

  3. We absolutely love your blog and find almost all of your post’s to be exactly what I’m looking for. Would you offer guest writers to write content in your case? I wouldn’t mind composing a post or elaborating on many of the subjects you write about here. Again, awesome blog!
