Fantasy tactics fans may want to sit up and take notice of Games Campus’s upcoming game, Ecol Tactics. Information on the game has been steadily trickling in over the past month, and the newest reveal is the teaser trailer. It does a great job showing off the game; revealing gameplay, quests, dungeons, the game map, the UI – only a few minutes are shown, but I’d have to say I’m curious for more. There’s just something about what I’ve seen so far that I’m finding rather appealing.
To add to the excitement, they’ve also kicked off a weekly captioning contest. This week’s prize is a signed Ecol Tactics poster.

Ecol Tactics is a turn based fantasy strategy game that brings to mind old classics like Final Fantasy Tactics. Collect mercenaries, customize your skill and equipment, complete quests and explore this fully imagined isometric world. The Ecol Tactics teaser is well done, despite no actual detailed information being presented, it still manages to provide a good feel for the game and makes me want to give it a whirl. If you like what you see, beta signups are open. I haven’t seen a specific date, although the teaser site says coming soon.
The event is a simple captioning contest. Every week they’ll be releasing a 6 panel cartoon, all you need to do is fill in the dialogue! This week it’s a little girl and a dark cloaked figure with a scythe.
