Large and in charge.

Hey, kids, it’s the first digital expansion to Star Wars: The Old Republic! **applause**

BioWare is most pleased to announce the Rise of the Hutt Cartel. The first expansion for the recently-transitioned F2P title will be completely digital. Subscribers to TOR will receive a hefty 50% discount on Huttmana, dropping the price from $9.99 to $19.99. Pre-ordering before January 7 earns players early access and Preferred Status. RotHC is expected in Spring 2013.

Now that the business is out of the way, let’s get to the fun stuff, gameplay.

Rise of the Hutt Cartel is to introduce five new levels, raising the cap to 55, including expanding the story-driven missions that many players have loved. Naturally, gear, abilities and skill points will be incorporated with the expanded cap. Obviously, the fearsome Hutt Cartel will be the main enemy across the galaxy, but players must also do battle on the new planet of Makeb.

We’ll have more as BioWare releases the information.
