Game of Thrones is a massive universe. Far more complex than a scant dozen or so episodes of a television season can explore. Over the past few months, developer Disruptor Beam has taken the universe and expanded it, introducing players to minor characters, reminding readers of one-off mentions of minor players and enabling those to join in on the treason, battles and intrigue.
Last night, HBO viewers enjoyed the premiere of Season 3. Just a day out and Disruptor Beam has kept its promise to begin weekly additions based upon the on-going storyline. Entitled Episode 1: Valar Dohaeris, the content package will introduce dozens of quests and adventures, including new alliance content, spread across new zones.
In addition to announcing new tie-ins Disruptor discussed a few player-based metrics that prove interesting to the lore nuts. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the community overwhelmingly sided with House Stark, with 43% bending their knee to the dire wolf. Another not so surprising fact, players of GoT Ascent tend to enjoy fighting, selecting it 35% of the time of the nine choices.
