GDC Online 2010 has revealed its awards for this edition in a ceremony hosted by Mike Goslin, from Mindspark Interactive Network. This year, the convention for online game developers, has awarded League of Legends in five categories, being the most awarded game. The Riot Games MMO earned Best Online Technology, Visual Arts, Game Design and New Online Game awards, winning as well the Audience Award after recounting thousands of votes from the audience.
Other awards were given to CCP’s EVE Online in Best Live Game category, Best Community Relations for Blizzard’s World of Warcraft and Best Social Network Game for Playdom’s Social City. Ultima Online was also recognised as the first game entering the Hall of Fame and Richard Bartle was honored with the Online Game Legend award, for his impact in the online game development industry.
