I’ve been gaming for well over 2 decades now; I began my gaming career way back when with pen and paper Dungeons and Dragons. I still keep my dice bag handy, even though I am carrying on various love affairs with MMOs these days, I still retain a fondness for good old fashioned dungeon crawling and dungeon mastering. So I definitely have my eye on Neverwinter. My very first D&D character was an Elf. While packing for an upcoming move, I dug out my old D&D books and was reflecting on the days when you couldn’t be an elven rogue or wizard, if you were an elf, you were just an elf. It amuses me to have had that on my mind on the day player character elves in Neverwinter get their stats.
With bonuses to dexterity, wisdom and accuracy, I suspect elven rangers will be in greater supply than elven wizards. Although I guess I should say would be, since I haven’t seen any indication of a ranger class yet. See the official announcement for the details.
