BioWare Mythic announced today that it is happy to “assume operational responsibilities” for European Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning players beginning July 7th.
Tomorrow, Tuesday June 29th, Mythic will be taking a data stamp of all GOA account information, characters, guilds, etc. for both present and past players. Although the team doesn’t foresee any troubles, there is the possibility that it will have to go back to this data stamp once the transition is complete. This will mean that any progress from June 29th to the updated game date (July 7th) will be lost.
When the process is complete, the European Mythic servers will be online and continually monitored during this transitional period. All game play during this time will be free for existing subscribers and current European subscribers will receive two weeks of free game play beginning July 7th. Not a bad trade, especially since everything should go smoothly. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

On the part saying; “there is the possibility that it will have to go back to this data stamp once the transition is complete”. I would love it to be true, but after a chat with a GM on WAR, i have been told the following.
CSR [Writhe] tells you: I can confirm 100% that no progress made from the moment of the maintenance yesterday until the moment the mythic servers go live will be saved.
Already hate mythic for this…. how the hell can it take 7-8 days to do this and why keep the servers online when any progress will not be saved. Sucks for those not noticing nor understanding the warnings 100% because we are not english.
Really hate that lvl 31 to 34-35 isnt gonna be saved.. and my mate is too….
