Bigpoint.com, an MMO games portal most famous for DarkOrbit, has announced today that it will now be providing Frogwares Studio and Focus Home Interactive’s MMORTS, World of Battles. Unlike many of Bigpoint.com’s other games, World of Battles is a client-based game, not browser-run. It is, however, still completely free to play. It is a “tabletop-wargaming-inspired” real-time strategy MMO, with features such as guilds that would be found in other MMOs. Players can choose from nine races, and play against up to seven opponents at a time. Being a big tabletop wargaming buff myself, I might have to give it a try.
