You heard it here first (or last), folks: Mists of Pandaria has a release date. You can pre-order the game now and begin downloading, but the Mists of Pandaria content will not be available until the game launches on September 25th.
Players opting for the digital download can choose either the retail version of the game at $39.99, or the “Digital Deluxe” edition for $59.99, which includes all of the digital bonuses that owners of the boxed Collector’s Edition receive, including:
- The Imperial Quilen mount and Lucky Quilen Cub pet for World of Warcraft
- Infested Orc and Night Elf Templar portraits for StarCraft II
- Pandaren themed banner and sigil for Diablo III
Players can also get the boxed Collector’s Edition for $79.99, which includes all of the above plus:
- DVD Installer for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria
- Mists of Pandaria Art Book
- Mists of Pandaria Soundtrack
- Mists of Pandaria Behind the Scenes DVD/Blu-ray
- Mists of Pandaria Mousepad
I’m very slightly tempted to get the Digital Deluxe edition, but I will likely pass. The mount and pet are a little less iconic than they have been. The StarCraft II templar portrait is very cool; the Wizard Templar portrait from the Diablo III CE is one of my favorites. The Diablo III perks don’t interest me; I was hoping for a new set of wings. Which are you going to pick up and why?
I’m extremely impressed with your writing skills and
also with the layout on your weblog. Is this a
paid theme or did you modify it yourself? Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a
great blog like this one these days.
