Official Lore Hound Minecraft File Downloads [Updated 8/13/12]

13 August 2012 | 4 Comments » | LHStaff

Hello Minecraft Players! This is where you can download everything needed to play the Single Player Mode (SPM) of our up-coming server world, Amalos, and download the texture pack (and needed HD fix) seen in our “Minecraft Adventures” videos.

After there being multiple updates (recently Update 1.3.1), and rather than multiple links on different articles (or a massive amount of Facebook status updates), we decided to keep a running update page for new updates as they arrive.

Check back every once in a while to see if there is a new update! (Usually around an official Minecraft Update)

[Important Update]: Due to the fact that there were SEVERAL optimizations done to Minecraft in Update 1.3.1, we are no longer supporting an SD version of our texture pack. Also, the texture pack has been renamed from “Imperial Texture Pack” to “Amalos HD Texture Pack”.

MCPatcher (Needed for both Textures):

Download:

Installation:

  1. Drag the .exe or .jar to where you want it to be located, and run it.
  2. Select the box next to “HD Textures” (and the others for safe measure) and then hit “Patch”.
  3. Once it’s done, run Minecraft with the texture pack and all should work fine.

Amalos Minecraft Server Beta Test 7/7/2012

3 July 2012 | 7 Comments » | Mordil

As the title may self-explain, we will be having the second Beta test of the official server on Saturday, July 7th, 2012 at 8am PST (11 EST) to 8pm PST (11 EST).

We would like to invite any, and all, Minecraft players (with official accounts!) to take part again; largely because we didn’t receive enough stress to accurately test the server during the last test session.

The IP connection is  71.231.72.141.

Q1. Do I must have a licensed copy of Minecraft to play?

Yes! We will not allow any players who do not connect via Minecraft.net‘s servers to participate.

Q2. Will any of the data be saved from this test?

Yes! This test is almost an “early-access” kind of test. You can play in our world, use our shops, set up your own, build, explore, mine, whatever you want. Any data you create will be saved on the server until official release. Continue Reading

Minecraft Adventures 2.1 – Qairon City’s Duke Castle

13 June 2012 | 2 Comments » | LHStaff

This post is guest written by Sephalon herself.

I make my video editing debut for LoreHound on today’s episode of Minecraft Adventures. Today I will show the castle in my city, Qairon, which houses each of the Dukes of Qairon.

Qairon is a city built on the official LoreHound Minecraft server, Amalos, hosted by Spellbook Entertainment.

If you would like to download the texture pack, you can do so with instructions here.

Official Lore Hound Minecraft Server Open Alpha Stress Test

11 May 2012 | 8 Comments » | LHStaff

While the demotivational above may suggest otherwise, on our official Lore Hound Minecraft server, run by Mordil & Sephalon (Mrs. Mordil) as seen in Minecraft Adventures, that might just be doing it right!

As the title may self-explain, we will be having the first Alpha/Beta test of the official server on Saturday, May 12th, 2012 at 8am PST (11 EST) to 8pm PST (11 EST).

We would like to invite any, and all, Minecraft players (with official accounts!) to participate; largely due to the fact we need to put some stress on the network and server hardware. The IP connection is 50.135.79.102.

This event will be followed and monitored along side our Facebook page. You should check it out as we take screenshots of players, and their creations.

A FAQ will be posted after the jump! Continue Reading

Minecraft Adventures 1.4 “Pharaoh Mordil’s Tomb”

6 January 2012 | 2 Comments » | Mordil

Editor’s Note: Sorry for this being delayed almost a day & a half. There was some complications in getting it ready by yesterday.

Yes, yes. We all know I have an inflated ego; but come on – who doesn’t want to have their name on something so devious as a pitfall tomb? Check it all out below. I’m sorry if the brightness isn’t enough to see any details – it’s an issue with my computer.

Before I discovered the miracle of MCEdit, a mass editor, it took me roughly 15-30 hours to complete. Did it all by hand /flex.

As always, you can download our texture pack in HD or SD. If you want to do HD, make sure you use MC Patcher for PC or Mac OS X. For instructions on doing all these things, check out the first post here.

Enjoy!

Minecraft Adventures 1.3: Imperial Station (It’s Not A Moon!)

3 January 2012 | No Comments » | Mordil

Welcome to the new year, Lore Hounds! Today’s episode is a speed build of the Imperial Stations that litter my highway system.

The video was recorded before I had a mass editor, and before I knew about texture packs (I’m a noob!).

As always, you can download our texture pack in HD or SD. If you want to do HD, make sure you use MC Patcher for PC or Mac OS X. For instructions on doing all these things, check out the first post here.

Enjoy!

Minecraft Adventures 1.2: Imperial Highway & Lore Hound Logo

15 December 2011 | 1 Comment » | Mordil

I’m back with more Minecraft goodness! Today’s episode covers my highway system that links all the projects and server “official” content together in a safe, quick travel system, and the Lore Hound Logo made from wool.

Check out the full video below.

As always you can download the latest textures from here (HD) and here (SD). Make sure to have MC Patcher and patch in “HD Textures” before trying to use them! That can be downloaded here (PC), and here (Mac OS X).

Minecraft Adventures 1.1: Sky Fort

13 December 2011 | 3 Comments » | Mordil

It’s about time we jumped on the bandwagon for Minecraft! Below you will see the first video installment of my Minecraft Adventures of my projects that I have worked on in Creative Mode, and you have seen screenshots of on our Lore Hound Facebook page.

As I said in the video, you can download the texture pack either in HD here, or in SD, here. Please make sure you think you can run HD textures, if you’re not sure, grab the SD version instead. I am not held responsible for hard drive failures due to over-clocking RAM. It is a very powerful texture pack.

You also need to download MC Patcher, which you can get the PC version from here; and the OS X version from here.

However, you must also grab the “MCPatcher” file, for whichever OS you’re running, in order for it to work. If you do not, the images will be broken. We will be adding updates to our texture pack periodically, and when it is updated each time officially, a tweet and Facebook status update will be given to let you know, and a text document with a list of changes will be linked. You don’t have to patch the texture pack in, you only need to patch “HD Textures” in for it to work.

How to do all of this is explained after the jump, below the video; enjoy!
