Few things in this world get a marketers motor running like a well executed product placement. Perhaps an expertly design intellectual property tie-in? Hopefully I never fall over myself enough to attempt to figure it out. Whatever the case the fine folks over at Gazillion Entertainment have managed a mix up of such activities in a new mash up. Leveraging the incredible power of the Marvel brand for the very universe of Marvel Heroes 2015 the company is taking the opportunity to launch a new multi-phased event that ties in the upcoming release of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The news was dropped on us in the midst of the Mondays. Perhaps most applicable to such an important time for the game and universe at large is the ability to play as any of the starring Avengers in the dungeon crawler for free. Doesn’t matter if you’re deep into the Omega system or a fresh-faced account, Captain America through Hawkeye (and more) are available immediately. You can even farm one up to level 60 before having to worry about any restrictions. Oh, and doing so earns you a 50% XP Boost. Because if there’s one thing about Marvel Heroes I’ve learned its that level caps are easily ignored through new game modes and systems that extend the very notion of end game.
That and the fact that loot rains down from the heavens as if the very Sun caused armor and weapons to be created when absorbed by Black Panther’s sex-changing skin options.
Whatever shall Gazillion due for the upcoming Sony/Marvel Spider-man project?! Time will tell.
