According to recent reports, the fate of Rockman Online – the Japanese name for Mega Man – has already been sealed. Developer NeoWiz recently announced a restructuring that had many wondering if Rockman Online would make the cut. Adding a tanker truck of fuel to the fire, environments artist Kang Dong Hwa, aka Cantio75, announced on his blog that his current project had been dropped by NeoWiz.
NeoWiz has yet to comment on the rumors but another inside source has confirmed that the Rockman Online development team has been disbanded. Sad to see such a promising game spiral down the drain, especially given the tied intellectual property, but the news has given us a horde of concept art from Hwa to gaze at.
