MOBA Monday is a weekly showcase of how to perform, eh, let’s go with adequately – we hope – in a massive online battle arena. The streaming squad features the hottest, upcoming or most interesting titles of their and the communities fancy for a few rounds of PvP shenanigans in our weekly Twitch channel staple.
Heroes of the Storm is a MOBA that features the heroes of Blizzard Entertainment’s franchises. The game includes heroes from Blizzard games like Diablo, Overwatch, Warcraft and Starcraft. It takes some of the most loved, and hated, heroes and villains across their IPs, and force them to duke it out in senseless battling. That alone is enough to want to play this game. Who wouldn’t want to play Diablo or Tyrael from Diablo or Sylvanas from World of Warcraft in a battle arena?
I have high hopes for this game, as while Blizzard Entertainment does not label Heroes of the Storm as a MOBA, it combines the games I love with the gaming style that I enjoy most. I personally play DotA 2 but the idea of a MOBA, or a “hero brawler” as Blizzard calls it, without the item building and more emphasis on using all your abilities at once, is intriguing. I’m hoping that Blizzard delivers with Heroes of the Storm! While I might be new to Heroes of the Storm, iTZKooPA has some awesome details on the game and how it continues to remain unique here.
