Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment keep making Star Trek Online more and more enticing as time passes. Originally a miss as at the AAA subscription level, STO has come into its own after moving to the F2P model early this year.
The latest content patch is upping the ante focusing on guild advancement, endgame and user-created content. The majority of the update focuses on expanding the importance of Fleet, STO’s answer to guilds, including starbase construction, defense missions of the Fleet-created starbases, new rewards and a revamped Fleet user interface.
Fleets may be the focus, but any good patch includes content for the majority of players. Under Siege is no different. Cryptic includes new missions, events and challenges for max-level players and an assortment of new elements to the Foundry, STO’s user-creation tool.
