Ubisoft Developing a AAA “Online RPG”

It could be semantics or publishers no longer wishing to label everything as an MMOG these days. Either way, it appears that Ubisoft is working on a new online-based title that you should be made aware of. Labeled by designer Marc Cartwright as an “Online RPG,” he’s lending his MMOG experience from Bigpoint to Massive, an internal studio that helped develop Far Cry 3.

In addition to the blurb about an Online RPG, Massive itself has a job posting up for a Lead Level Designer for the project. The post requests candidates to have “experience working on an online multiplayer, co-operative or open-world game project.” Further information leads one to believe the title will be (shockingly!) in the third-person perspective. No other details were divulged.

Which Ubisoft intellectual property would you want to see morphed into an online experience, Assassin’s Creed or FarCry? Perhaps even an MMORT from the Ground Control  pedigree now that End of Nations is in strife?!
