It appears that we can officially put the label of “development hell” to rest when referencing the Warcraft movie. To rest specifically because today brings the first official news from Blizzard Entertainment itself on the movie’s impending release. The Duncan Jones helmed, potentially Colin Farrell vehicle that’s to begin filming in January 2014 is to be released nearly two years later by Universal Pictures on December 18, 2015.
In other Blizzard news, the company behind BlizzCon 2013 has released the details to virtual ticket digital goodies. Gamers that couldn’t spam F5 fast enough can still score a horde of goodies. The $39.99 ticket will include all of the digital in-game items in fact. Judging by the Facebook image, the virtual ticket will award a BlizzCon Diablo banner, a StarCraft portrait, a Hearthstone minion and the real reason to buy a ticket, an incredibly cute Crusader Murloc companion.
BlizzCon 2013 kicks off on Friday, November 8 and ends the next day on Saturday, November 9.
