Not to be outdone by its new hotness sibling, the original Guild Wars will also be celebrating the holiday season this month. ArenaNet has not abandoned the festival just because Guild Wars 2 is seeing its own rendition.
GW players will feature two brand-new costumes that pay homage to the Tyrian gods Lyssa and Kormir. The cities of Lion’s Arch, Droknar’s Forge, Ascalon City, Kamadan, and the Eye of the North will be equally decked out in their own festive decorations. Players will be able to participate in holiday-based quests, missions and games with unique rewards.
Wintersday events begin on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 12:00 PM PST and will disengage on Wednesday, January 2, 2012 at 12:00 PM PST. The Wintersday grand finale will take place at the beginning of the new year in Lion’s Arch and Kamadan.
