F2P Friday is our weekly showcase of the growing free-to-play market, from MMORPGs to first-person shooters and beyond. The stream team will feature the latest, greatest and just plain fun games that cost you nothing to play. Ever. Granted, you should throw the developer a bone if you enjoy a title, but you don’t have to.
Last week’s F2P Friday was once again tarnished due to my continued Comcast connection issues. In an odd way, it’s a good thing that I’m on the road as my Internet, ironically, has been far more stable. That should enable me to complete the third assault on Naxxramas. Who knows if I’ll down the icy dragon before heading to Kel’Thuzad in the allotted time for Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. Valeria is more dangerous than ever after picking up some great new cards.
We’re sticking with digital card games through the entire stream today. After the expected defeat of Naxxramas it’s time to check out a Kickstarter success from Stone Blade Entertainment. SolForge nearly doubled its $250,000 goal stretching to include a promo playset, extra hard currency and card animations. Unfortunately, the funding fell just short of co-op raid style bosses. This’ll be a Let’s Play open beta experience complete with giveaways. Come learn the game with me!
